Ram Han primarily works with digital painting. Grounded in the belief that the essence of memory lies in the ambiguity between the real and the virtual, they extract replicated and degraded images of memories found in social media and subcultures. Through this process, Han is interested in locating and preserving quasi-memories within scenes whose authenticity remains uncertain.
Han studied animation at the Korea National University of Arts, and has participated in exhibitions such as Ghost Arm (Seoul Museum of Art, Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, 2018, Seoul), I draw (D Museum, 2019, Seoul), Ghost Shotgun (Sichungak, 2019, Seoul), and Busan Biennale: Ten Chapters and Five Poems (various locations in Busan, 2020, Busan). Han has also collaborated with clients including Apple, Nike, The New Yorker, and Opening Ceremony.
